On a more serious note, the Dollar Index is sliding south at an alarming rate, she is now at 73.085 and early this morning she was in the 72 zone.

I fear things are moving much quicker than I thought. APMEX.com has delayed shipping up to 30 days on Silver Eagles Dollars. A close friend of mine put in an order last night for Silver Eagles and there is a 30 day wait for the order, and a $5.49 premium over spot price. Word has it there is an acute Silver shortage and a rush by the small guy to buy Silver to protect what little they have in assets.

I believe a market sell off will happen between now and Aug 2011. And also a currency crisis won’t be far behind. Remember in OCT 2008, the Dollar Index hit 72 when the SHTF and that was before the housing blowout. I guess what I am trying to say is, it’s time to put your stuff in order as well as myself because I believe we are fast approaching a dollar collapse.

Take care and hope you fare well.

I really will miss sparing with my opponents, but like many Americans, it’s time to cut back and invest in the basics of American life. I’m going to invest those subscription savings into building up food production and giving back to the Earth instead of taking from her. It’s the new kinder and gentler AV72.

I will come back to spar if the Monitor decides to revamp their pricing or goes back to a non-fee based system. If so, you’ll see my friendly avatar.

Take care Elle2 and thanks for your consideration.

Nuff said!

I really enjoyed your writing style and how well you articulated your arguments, you are a potent force when it comes to wordsmithing!

Take care Bruce and lets home this Country can gets its act together, for the first time in my whole life I fear we are in for a very rough ride.

Why would the University of Texas invest in something so foolish as Gold, because they know that anything else is going to lose value over the next decade!

THEY ARE PROTECTING THEIR INVESTMENT FUNDS, plain and simple, our Government is bankrupt and it’s going to take down the rest of the economy.

University Of Texas Invests Three Percent Of Its Funds In Gold
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/16/nervous-about-endowment-u_n_648...

The University of Texas system has invested $500 million, or 3 percent of its total investment funds, in gold.

The Houston Chronicle reports that the university bout the gold out of fears of "unstable international financial markets and the possibility of high inflation." It is relatively uncommon for a university to invest in gold, the value of which only increases through inflation.
