I'm not any of those things either - AND I'm a vegetarian. Uh oh! |

I don't defend them - I just understand that they aren't the only player in the system. ALL parts of the healthcare system need to be changed for it to work - changing just insurance and thinking it will end the problem is a fool's dream. I want insurance changed, hospitals changed, med schools changed, drug companies changed.... |

Following the Gabby Giffords shooting.... "President Barack Obama on Wednesday evening urged Americans to tone down their rhetoric and debate “in a way that heals, not a way that wounds.” “Bad things happen, and we must guard against simple explanations in the aftermath,” he said. “We may not be able to stop all evil in the world, but I know that how we treat one another is entirely up to us.” " You can't call for free speech and "toning down rhetoric" - this country was founded upon the notion that free people are allowed to SAY what we want to about our government. This administration seems to switch their point of view as the situation changes. I don't hear him saying this about people attacking Romney... |

You're taking that comment out of context and changing the meaning. I have no love for the guy, personally, but at least be fair. If he's the only person who legally avoids taxes by having overseas accounts, then fine - go after him. I'm sure plenty of Dems do the same. |

You really think that he fired people for fun? The quote about liking to fire people meant that he thinks people should be able to have choices - if you don't like your health insurance company you should be able to "fire" them and choose one that works for you. Exaggerations will get your argument nowhere. |

"I have more trade skills in my pinky finger than you could comprehend" So, basically, we're too stupid to know how much better and smarter you are? Please don't assume that every person fits neatly into one of your three boxes: Democrats (who you think are right about everything), Republicans (who are horrible, awful people) and Teabaggers (who are even worse). There are good and bad people in every political group and every economic group. |

Are we really going to have to wait for a proven saint to run for office? There is no such thing as a perfect person with nothing in their background they're sorry about. This is not to condone bullying, but I really can't think of anyone who hasn't been mean to one person or called someone a name in their entire lifetime. There are levels that are acceptable and levels that aren't. |

If you're talking about accepted practices in society - majority would rule. And if you're talking about passage of laws - majority would rule. |

That's not a good deal at all. Some things are right for the federal government to do. This is not one of them. 1.9 non permanent jobs for $150,000 - this is not where our borrowed money should be spent. |

and what if the norms of social behavior and expectations or patterns actually CHANGE? That's what's happening here. |
I've worked with elementary school kids - my tolerance for the behavior is pretty high. Why don't we just agree that we disagree and keep the personal attacks out of this.
