I guess I'm confused. I don't go to Fenway any longer because of the price. I had free tickets to the air show and did'nt go because we knew we did'nt want to pay outlandish prices for food and drinks with the fair coming up, knowing we would be going over to hopkinton. It's called finacial responsibility!!!!! If you can't afford it,don't do it. If the vendor has a small crowd maybe next year they would lower their prices. That's how it works. If you don't like it, don't spend your money there. Then they don't make money and we have expressed our dislikes with the costs to them. Of course that won't happen because of the sense of entitlement that it's "your right" to go to the air show so therefore the Govt. should make it more affordable..............PLEASE GET A CLUE. I'm so tired of you people that think the govt. should do your thinking. When are you going to try it on your own? |

I guess I don't understand the difference between if he would have called the Franklin FD or the Salisbury other than being foolish enough to put it in his truck. From what I heard and it is hear say, but he was worried some kids would find it walking or something. I am still puzzled as to why someone would pick up what they thought was a pipe bomb, but I'm also confused as to how someone could be charged with something before it was determined it was a bomb. |

This is a big OOOPs. There was a large amount of time also between the device or thing being brought to the mans house and the time that he was charged. No one thought to X-ray this thing before charging the guy? Hope all ends well for everyone one both sides. I'm sure some lessons were learned. |

I agree with the guns part. I am a proud SAFE gun owner. My kids are tought not to even point a toy gun at others. This just shows an ignorant way to handle a firearm. There will never be another EA sports game in my house!!!! |

O.K sounds good. Also sounds like you have something to do with making sure they are open. Is that true? If so why have them up, why not just take a ride around every now and then. Everytime I go into town now I take a ride through there, well used to any way. I just wonder how the snowmobile clubs would like it if this cost them a " no thanks, we are not letting anyone use our land this year, think we are going to install a gate". The snowmobile clubs are organized quite well, and do alot of work and I understand that. They also started to make sure there would always be plenty of land to ride on. Lets make sure that it doesnt turn into the only thing thats riden anywhere is snowmobiles. Thats a class 6 rd and is made for travel. If I wanted to go and scout down by the swamp I should be able to maintain the same access I have had for the last 37 years and same for those that were traveling them way before that. What next Branch Tpk? |

It's not "another" recession!!!! The first one never ended as our commander and chief along with vice president Biden kept trying to convince us of. I am a self employed carpenter. The summer months are generally my busy months. I have been lucky to be booked ahead by more than 3 weeks all summer and spring. The problem is that the only way that the fat cats in washington are able to see what is going on with the common folk is by spending speculation and when the "experts" perdictions are not met all the sudden we are in " another" recession. It's a shame the politicians in this country have lost touch with the American people. They just have no idea what it's like to struggle everyday, and if they did I don't think they would care. |

Did your friend live on the Allen Rd.? If this is the friend that I had also, I was on the other end of some of those butt kickings. We are on the same page to a degree. I still hunt in that area time to time. What if I wanted to go and scout half way down? I just lost alot of access to a hunting area, which I thought when the town bought it would remain open for ALL recreation. Does that mean the town will open the gates in 3 weeks when archery season starts? If not shame on the town of Bow and losing grasp with the citizens of town. This is out of stater mentality, one or two do something ignorant and all have to suffer the consequences. I guess that's mostly what I am bitter about. |

Funny but we did'nt get the poor it out treatment, we got the " boy is your mom going to be pissed I'm waking her up at 1 a.m" Then of course we got in trouble with our parents. Maybe that's the difference today. That little Johny does'nt have a punishment that makes him not do it again. As for comment about riding all over town. That's BS, I too rode all over town on dirt bikes and Four wheelers. There was no permission to get. You got caught your machine got towed or again, Lt. Graves or Cheif Cheney came to your house and told your folks and the keys to the dirtbike or Four wheeler went every where the folks did for a while. |

It seems strange to me that growing up less than a mile from that area we did'nt have to put up gates. As a kid I partied down there many a friday or saturday night. I can also remember when Cheif Cheney would patrol the area doing what a town police officer did. So they only things that have changed is new police or the fact that the town was too good for a dump then to good for a recycling center. So why don't the powers that be, admit they were wrong about doing away with the transfer station. Get rid of curb side pick up and have a dump again. You know where folks went every Sat. and see your neighbors, maybe meet others and live like a community once again. See what happens when you get what you wish for? |
How come we have such a huge debt thanks to social programs then?
