You don't think, honestly, that by "confronting" liberals you are going to change any one of their minds? As a "freeloading liberal" (have conservatives been paying to view the Monitor? Didn't know that), I have been listening to conservative arguments for many years, and my liberal views have only been strengthened. |

I don't see a price. Is it included in the ski ticket price? |

Yes, "Mein Kampf" is always prominently displayed in all of my liberal friends homes, especially the Jewish ones. |

This is very weak sauce, as they say, and is nothing compared to "watering the tree of Liberty", "If we can't do it with ballots, we will do it with bullets", "2nd Amendment remedies", and other things that the right has come out with. |

How empty life would be if we only kept the things we could make money on. |

I guess when the grass goes away and there is no lawn to grow and mow and grow and mow, than wax on, wax off, wax on, wax off is a good substitute. Work ethic taken to new levels of banality. At least they are keeping the wax makers employed. |

That statue probably cost more new than my mid victorian era house did. Why couldn't the state overlook that and asses it at $5 so my taxes would be 1/3 cent a year? |

What does that work out to, about $300. per hamburger? |
Yes, just as poor people don't need a newspaper, but if the legislature is going to provide one, please make it the print edition so that they may line their cardbox houses, or perhaps start a fire to keep warm.
Neither do they need health care, food or housing. They can suck it up, die of disease, starvation, or hypothermia, in any order. Just keep in mind that most of these people have worked and paid taxes, and might still be doing so.
If they are elderly, they most likely have done so for longer than you have been taking up space on this earth.
There must be a God, as the idea that people like you could live your lives with such churlishness and hatred for your fellow man, without having to answer for it, is too horrible to contemplate.
