The people who are dead because of him, were killed at his direction. He trained his terrorists to kill innocent people, and they would tell you they are very happy he is dead if they could speak from their graves. Our president is going to Ground Zero Thursday to meet with the families of OBL's victims. His purpose is to comfort them and help with the closure process. It was a shocking event when those planes slammed into the WTC and we watched from the comfort of our living rooms as some of the victims jumped from the towers to a certain death rather than burn in the fire. I can still see those people to this day. Anybody who thinks we should have shown mercy to OBL is out of their mind. Pat Kraft |

This is a solution looking for a problem! Well I hope this does not pass - photo ID to vote - as there is no need for it. It would be an expense for the state that would solve a problem that does not exist. As for a photo ID for food stamps, that is beyond ridiculous. If that passes, we can expect some sort of photo gestapo stationed at every single store in NH where food stamps are accepted. A clerk is supposed to look at this ID and if the photo looks "off" to him, he calls in the gestapo ID checker (who is paid by who?) and lo and behold, the person had his or her hair cut differently or it is a different color or they were having a "bad hair day" when the photo was taken and it really is who it says on the ID. Looking at some of the Dept. of Motor Vehicle photos on my past licenses you would be hard pressed to match them to me! Who is going to pay for taking all of these photos? Another needless expense! Just more paperwork and expense for cameras, record keeping, training of people to process the photos etc! Pat Kraft |

made from things other than corn. There will be lots more research done on alternatives to corn as it is, as you say, not really a good alternative to oil. Pat Kraft |

to be a buffoon, and has no chance of being taken seriously by most people. The more we show how ignorant he is, the better. Let the light of day shine on his bigotry and egotism. It is easy to see why his marriages have failed. (though it is difficult to see why any woman would marry him in the first place!) Pat Kraft |

gratitude and pride. Gratitude to our president and his military forces who carried out the mission he gave them and pride in their accomplishment. Our president said from the very day he was inaugurated as our president that his main job is to keep America safe. His resolve to protect us is evident to all. In spite of the great odds against finding OBL, our president did not give up, nor did the military troops that he commands. He has performed well as our commander in chief. His troops have carried out their mission with bravery and skill. Our country can hold its head up high with pride. We have honored the memory of all those Americans who have been killed as a result of OBL and his terror tactics. We can smile and say "We did it." Pat Kraft |

They moved this very important news from the bottom of the online page up to the top of the page. We owe a big thank you to President Obama who directed this operation as our Commander in Chief. Well done Mr. President. Pat Kraft |

Both of my grandfathers worked for the B&M Railroad years ago. My father did also after he came back from fighting in WWII as a U.S. Marine in the Pacific theater. Since my father worked for B&M we had free passes to take the train and I can remember my mother along with some other relatives and I going on the train in Dover (where we lived) up to Old Orchard Beach for the day. All the trains back then were steam. It was quite an event when the first train to be powered by diesel came to town. It was oh so modern. We oohed and ahhed at the sleek looking new trains. Three cheers for President Obama! I am so happy! The long hunt is over. Even though we are not supposed to be at war in Pakistan, President Obama said "DO IT" and our special forces carried out the mission. Instead of a cave, he was living in a million dollar mansion. This is the best news we have heard in a long time. Now maybe we can get back to wrapping up our mission in Afghanistan. One thing puzzles me regarding the placement of this story on the front page. Why isn't it at the top of the page as the number one story with a big banner headline? This is the biggest news story of this decade! Pat Kraft |

What fun it is to read about what some of these Republicans clowns are saying, all hoping to strike a chord with the voters. We Democrats are in for a lot of entertainment and it is free! Pawlenty's claim to fame is that he was Gov. of Minnesota when that bridge collapsed and killed several people. (problem with their infrastructure?) Bachmann flunked American History in school. Romney is trying to denigrate his own health care plan while Gov. of Massachusetts that closely resembles our current administration's health care plan that is our current law. It's early in the race as stated in the article, and some people are waiting for a "dark horse" to come galloping up to save the Republican party. It is unlikely that Trump will run, although it is possible. If he does, the whole world will be laughing. Let the games begin! Pat Kraft |

The anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church members in Kansas profess to be Christian. Their actions don't come even close to any person that I ever met who said they were Christian or any other religion. Our first amendment (freedom of speech etc) defends the rights of people to say anything they choose except to shout "fire" in a crowded theater. So we have put up with their nonsense. Expanding the limits may help. Sometimes the best action to take is to ignore them, but that has not been enough for many people who are grieving. This so called church is made up of just a few members of one family. They certainly do not speak for Christians (or any other religious or non-religious people). I don't support anything that Bass says or does, but in this one particular case I agree with him. Pat Kraft |

"Romney pit stop hits Obama with gas" Did you make up this headline? Too funny! Now read that again. What is a pit stop? It is when you have to stop and find a rest room. Then, as is sometimes the case, you may make a little toot sound, due to gas! OMG . . . It must have been a real lollapulluza to make it all the way to D.C.! Thanks for the laugh Karen! Pat Kraft |
She has been caught in all sorts of lies ever since she was an employee of the state here in NH. She lied about that FRM scandal - (I know nothing! - just like Captain Klink of Hogan's Heroes) She is still a liar. She has taken money from very questionable sources such as Tax Masters. (they were under indictment for illegal actions) Her ethics stink.
But since she had an R after her name, the very gullible voters put her into office. BIG MISTAKE.
So don't be surprised if you write to her and her response is dishonest. She is not acquainted with honesty.
