There's no video of him being waterboarded and spilling the beans on this. No video - it didn't happen. You should at least TRY to be consistent instead of agreeing or disagreeing with something based on your ideological beliefs. |

As is Peter King - who is just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiitle bit crazy. Diane Feinstein: (slightly less crazy than King) She said torture did not elicit the information that ultimately led to bin Laden. Instead, she attributed the operation's success to painstaking work by a rejuvenated intelligence apparatus that has moved beyond its failures during the Iraq war. "It was a masterful job of intelligence," Feinstein said. She praised the Obama administration for making a "very gutsy call and go in. They could have sent a Predator (drone) with Hellfire missiles and killed everyone in the place. They didn't do it." She pointed specifically to a technique called "red teaming" that tests and retests all available information for weaknesses or potential inaccuracies. That was not done, Feinstein said, during the analysis that falsely assumed former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, which provided the basis for the Iraq invasion in 2003. Feinstein was told in December of planning for the commando raid in Pakistan that Navy SEALs carried out early Monday morning, resulting in the killing of bin Laden. She said Pakistan has provided significant help to the United States in combatting terrorists but at the same time has sheltered various terrorist groups |

As the details are coming out, it turns out the info didn't come from Gitmo nor through waterboarding. "In a secret CIA prison in Eastern Europe years ago, al-Qaida's No. 3 leader, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, gave authorities the nicknames of several of bin Laden's couriers, four former U.S. intelligence officials said. Those names were among thousands of leads the CIA was pursuing." The info also did not come as a result of torture... "Mohammed did not reveal the names while being subjected to the simulated drowning technique known as waterboarding, former officials said. He identified them many months later under standard interrogation, they said, leaving it once again up for debate as to whether the harsh technique was a valuable tool or an unnecessarily violent tactic." |

Here's a classic O statement to Bill in this thread: "I know many veterans who read this forum and some of the progressive posts, including yours and they shake their heads in disgust, imagining that they put their life on the line to read the over the top inanity from folks like you." Please note that BILL is a Veteran, but from O's wording it seems obvious that HE isn't. O is just another chicken hawk like Cheney.................willing to put our children's lives on the line while sitting back and reaping the benefits (Halliburton). |

Never had 'rich" as a goal My goal in life is to keep what I can, live comfortably, leave some padding for my children when I am gone. Every day is an uphill struggle with progressives wanting to take more and more and more. Charity starts at home. Being middle class, Obama policies affect that group of folks as much as the rich. Yes, I am smart. Well educated and I stick to my guns. (not literally but I am thinking about preparing for the coming civil war) replyreportview in original post |

He followed a plan laid out 10 years ago? Fact or opinion? Because I wonder how you know this to be fact. You're in Cheney's inner circle? You're in the CIA? |

And he used the "N" word NOT in a disparaging way, but as an example. Don't know the difference? |

I'd thank God that you are done with me! Why would you call ME a liar anyway? You're the one who lied (I used to be wealthy - no I've never been rich). Maybe you just have split personality. Btw, I don't ever read Kevin's blog. Know why? He is his own person and can do whatever he wants. Just as I can say and do what I want, and Bill can say and do what he wants, so can Kevin. It's the privilege of being an American. So, I don't see the hypocrisy as you are categoriaing ALL progressives together. I am only talking about YOU not all Conservatives. When faced with the fact that healthcare costs having increased at an alarming rate before Obamacare, you ignore that fact and try to deflect. When given the facts about the President's role in Osama's death, you had already commented that Obama hadn't been the leader. You deflect once again. When you misunderstand a comment about GWB'S popularity after 9/11, believing I was talking about Bush the first, you deflect. And as you continue to tell others their intellectual capacity and reasoning need work, remember that speaking ONLY for myself, you may believe you're above everyone else, and that your OPINIONS are fact that I actually know the difference between facts and opinions. |

MY comment had to do with how you claim that WE all slammed GWB for 8 years. My post was pointing out how WE all supported GWB until he started taking this country down a path or ruin. It had nothing to do with Bush I's approval rating. My post was a direct response to your assertion about how we all hated Bush 2 for 8 years. Try to keep up. I know you have many battles going on here, and that makes it difficult. Ok, now you're just lying. In another thread YOU said you were once wealthy. Now you're saying you were never rich. OH COME ON. Health care insurance rates are going up because of Obamacare??? WRONG AGAIN. They've been going up at a 30 to 40% rate per year LONG before Obama was in office. STOP BLAMING HIM. Now it's VERY obvious you're Millenia. You just brought up Kevin's blog. Who else knows this except MILLENIA???>?? You're a liar - and a bad one at that. |

After 9/11, the President's approval rating was somewhere around 90%. Bush had the backing of virtually everyone UNTIL it was obvious he was taking this country straight down the tubes. I didn't spend 8 years slamming Bush and neither did anyone else on this forum since it didn't exist, and since you weren't at my dinner table, you're either clairvoyant or a peeping Tom if you think you know what was being said. You're the King of assumptions. It's the middle class that needs affordable health care. You DO know don't you that there are many people who work whose employers don't provide health insurance. Oh, ok..........I guess you didn't know that. You, and a few others, simply cannot stand that Obama did something GOOD for the country by eliminating OBL. Obama made THE decision of how to carry out the operation. Yes, his committed and STRONG decision YOU CAN'T STAND IT. So instead you continue with your same tired old cliches and show your obvious distaste and snubbing of your nose to anyone you deem not up to your standards. You claim that you were once wealthy. You admit it wasn't Obama's fault that you lost your money, but won't come out and say that it was Bush's policies that brought the demise to your money. You lost your 401K. Everyone else has recouped their money. You must be one savvy investor. Stop looking down your nose at everyone who doesn't agree with you. Stop acting so superior - because you're NOT. And STOP trying to tell people who disagree with you that THEY are not true Americans. Any respect I ever had for you is gone. |
go to the DMV? I just pay online to my local town.
The "long lines at the DMV" is a Urban Legend these days.
