......I don't post here as I have been indeterminately moderated. But in this case I just wanted to let you know that I am not coming back at this stage of the game. I am glad to see people pushing so many progressive buttons here today......it is enjoyable. I may not post but I will read. For free of course.....that comes with "moderation".....no paying for censorship! Have a great day! |

......those appointed by Obama are having a field day. What next, the Fairness Doctrine or state run television. |

Well Bruce, you failed to give the source so I will. It came from examiner.com and was written by liberal pundit Ryan Witt. The facts are skewed and in the piece which you copied and pasted here, the author made other points supporting health care, backing up liberal positions, etc. Now from Wikipedia, a bit about the source, www.examiner.com: "Examiner.com has been criticized for its lack of verification and fact-checking of stories published on the site, including accusations of plagiarism". |

.....liberals have to control the discussion, debate and tell people what is right and wrong. From over the top zoning regulations to health care. They feel as if they know best! Try to get a cell phone tower on your land in NH. Primarily liberals fight that (some others do too). Or try to have a Manger on the public square.....who complains? Liberals. They are out to change our culture and our mores through political correctness. Yesterday there was an opinion piece from a guy about gay marriage where he wants to make speaking out against the agenda a hate crime. These people are insidious in their agenda. |

It is also about state agencies treating businesses as if they are guilty until proven innocent. Many years ago I owned a business and the NH Department of Labor came out to the business based on a complaint from a disgruntled employee who we let go due to their performance. They investigated the complaint and then found that it was not valid. While they were at our business, they ran through all of our records with a fine tooth comb. We had helped some friends who had a 14 year old who wanted to work. We had hired him LEGALLY and followed the law to a "T" with one exception. He only worked during the Summer and did so for two years at 14 and 15 years old. The law at the time was that he could only work so many hours and only until 9PM. My wife, being thoughtful, had him punch out when his mom picked him up. Being in the busy season, some nights it was 9:06PM or 9:02PM, etc. He had stopped working but he punched out when his mother arrived to pick him up. Well, the inspector found that for two years there were many punches like this. This is the ONLY issue which they found. The fine was based on some formula plus $50 per violation. It costs us literally thousands of dollars. The law is the law but something like that, is totally anti-business. No one was abused or taken advantage of. A $500 fine and a letter would have been enough penalty but NO, the state was making money on a business and the arrogance of the inspector was stunning arrogant.....typical bureaucrat. We appealed and his parents wrote letters to no avail. I am sure similar things happen. |

......New Hampshire has to be welcoming to new businesses which will created jobs and employ people. We should have tax breaks available and other incentives in place to lure them into New Hampshire. I am absolutely sure that many Massachusetts companies could be lobbied to relocate here if the benefit of doing so resulted in less overhead and a higher margin. The problem is that Democrats don't view things that way. With more businesses to share in the tax pool, all of them would pay less and revenue would be higher. Simple economics really, but simpletons on the Democrat and progressive side just don't get it. November was a wake up call, a shot heard round the world, a blunt reality which has still not sunk into the illogical minds of those on the Left who lack common sense, ethics and a basic understanding of economics. Government spending on projects and investing during this Obama recession is the equivalent of rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. |

......now represent a different majority of the voters. Democrats feverishly pushed to pass and now Republicans can feverishly push to return things to "normal". |

.....don't get sucked into the "local merchants" dreamscape. Not only did you overspend on parking but I'd be willing to bet that you spent 5X that in inflated prices on the goods you purchased working with "local merchants". Feel good seems to have made some people 'feel bad'. |

No kidding! Thank you Barack H. Obama for your lack of leadership, your record deficit spending and your unwillingness to build back the economy! Not much that we already do not know! |

......you would have to be psychotic not to realize that or be living on Venus or Mars or in a cave with no contact to the outside world. Obama is a serial liar and has been since Day One. He is little more than a flim-flam man, a pied piper of the doctrinaire, the ideological, the sheople, |

Not the fact that the planet is in a cyclical warming period, but the fact that global warming is being used by progressives to attempt to dictate social policy. If progressives are so sure and so certain that this agenda is "settled science" and real, let them be the first to revert to an agrarian lifestyle, stop driving their automobiles, completely convert their homes to solar and wind energy, drive electric cars and cut all consumption which they feel contribute to climate change. In 5 years we can evaluate the "progress' of their efforts and find out if man caused climate change is a hoax or a reality. China and India have NO intention of going "green". If we listened to the hysteria of the Left and were to hamstring ourselves, our future would be little more than that of a third world country as India and China would be world powers and our climate on this planet (if the myths about climate change are really "truths") would be no better. We would have unilaterally sunk our own way of life. So, progressives, set the example and if it works, we might be willing to follow. Put your money where your mouth is! |
I am making a one time only appearance to say hello and let you know that I am not posting here anymore, but I do appreciate the mention. Thanks.
Also I would agree with any of the people posting who refute your usually diatribe of class jealously and envy.
I may be silent but I am taking notes. Have a wonderful day.
