...what you are talking about then you should probably keep quiet. Dick, you have only made yourself look bad by bashing the owners in a non-productive way on this site over the past few months |

..with the statement "Those who actually referred to those people as beggars really aggravate me." It is an opportunity for the town residents to decide if they want to purchase this easement or not. Plain and simple Debate is terrific but those who bash the owners really only disgrace themselves. Finally someone is speaking some sense. I am not saying I am for or against the easement but bashing the Bohanan's is completely uncalled for. |

Excellent piece Andrew. You hit the nail right on the head with your points. This is not a bailout but an opportunity for the town of Hopkinton to decide if they want preserve a prime piece of real estate in thier community, GUARANTEEING that it will NEVER be developed. Many residents moved to Hopkinton for its rural character. I can think of many surrounding towns that had that same charm a few decades ago have lost it to development. This is simply an opportunity for the residents of Hopkinton to preserve the character of thier town. |
So basically what you are saying is we have some serious problems with our education system (I agree) but until we fix it we cannot teach students about the real world outside of our cosy lives in the US. I am sorry but education extends beyond math and science. While they are both extreemly important so is having a broad understanding of the world and how different other people's lives are in other places. I applaud the teachers at CHS for thinking outside the box on ways to ENGAGE and educate our youth
