How sad that this will be the primary industry of a once thriving and industrious city. If you want to see the what the future of Berlin will look like, spend some time in the Catskill region of New York where state and federal prisons are the primary industry. Very bleak. |

How is it possible that, at full capacity, it will cost $30,000/year for each prisoner to be incarcerated at this facility? |

I'm pretty sure you're a fascist. |

...and counting. Is there anybody else out there that believes in the insanity of these endless conflicts or are you all to enthralled with 'Dancing with the Stars' to give a damn? |

The cost of rail travel should be ultimately less expensive per rider mile but because of the huge up-front costs in infrastructure improvements and the, often arbitrary and redundant state and federal agency regulations, it won't be. |

The liberals decry the lack of religious tolerance in this case but are the first to rally for an end to school prayer. |

Reducing taxes and fighting deficits? I think you're in the wrong party. |

I support Ovide's campaign. He has a clear understanding of the constitutional relationship between the states and the federal government. However, his foreign policy stance is disconnected from his libertarian views. The war in Afghanistan is not about the Taliban threat to the west. On the one hand, it's about controlling the vast untapped mineral wealth of the country; companies like Dow Chemical and Monsanto would love to have this area stabilized. On the other hand, the war is about overthrowing the pro-chinese Pakistan government to further solidify the West's hold on the region. The problem is the U.S. is over-extended militarily in the region and the world and we are doomed to fail. We must end these foolish and immoral wars. |

You make no direct references to anything Rand Paul has said or written regarding his views on civil rights legislation but you are perfectly willing to give Kagan a pass even though it is abundantly evident from her own white papers that she would like to limit free speech and is adamantly opposed to the second amendment right to bear arms. Her views are abundantly anti-constitutional.Rand Paul's views on the Civil Righrs Act are perfectly consistent with the traditional Libertarian platform and, in no way, paint him as a racist. In fact, his views on school choice would offer tremendous educational opportunities for inner-city families, a policy to which you so-called liberals, are vehemently opposed. The corporate media disingenuous attacks on Rand Paul will backfire. |

CM editorial staff is out of their comfort zone on this story. Their analogy: "details were gobbled up faster than a plate of brownies" is more than a little strange considering the context of the story. And they keep vacillating, calling the child's body everything from mummy baby, infant corpse, tiny relic, and then "artifact", as well as referring to the child as "it" and "him". Who's in charge of editing the editorials down there? |
