It's about time that we get what it is we voted for. I for one, am sick and tired of working day and night to get what it is I have, and then, hear about the wants and needs of others. I'm not going to put all of these folks, who need, into one basket, but until the "lazy' ones ( you know who you are) get off the couch, and stop looking for a handout, and to the others, who know how to play the system and get welfare to go away, I say STOP ALL ENTILEMENTS!. I have personally heard horror stories about womwn who get pregant just so they don't have to work, that I, could write a book about the subject. Then you get the lazies, who then move in with these people, and then keep an eye out for the handouts. I have 2 generations living with me, with NO HELP from anyone. We take care of our own. Its about time that we ALL start to do it. It's called "PRIDE", and self respect. Thank you to the pols who have been elected to go to Concord and make the hard choices, and for staying true to their campaign promises.

So the city is worried about losing revenue?? I was always under the oppression that the city worked for the citizens and not vice versa. HUMMM, maybe its finally coming out. How about letting the residents park in front of the properties that their paying TAXES on? CRAZY to think that all the city worries about is money. If the police didn't have to stop and write those 60000 dollars in tickets we could get more patroling in and maybe do away with one cop overnight along with his pention to make up the difference.

As I read the latest in the front pages, I have to ask the questions. Why does the city leadership raise the price of parking, want to put millions into "inprovements", and then continue to bag meters for the legislative bodies, when they have a parking garage at there disposal? Concords main street has longed rolled the streets up at 6pm and then wonder why folks don't shop downtown. Keep raising the price of parking, bag the meters for the few, and see what continues to happen. Do I see tumbleweed yet?

Myself and family attended this event on Saturday and was one of the many who stood in the lines to pay these prices. I roughly figured that I spent close to 35.00 for water that day. What I don't understand is this, Why were the "drinking area's (beer tent)" so large, and numerous, while the only places to get water was where they sold food? The organizers knew that each day the folks attending these shows would count into the thousands. My guess is that they can get 6 bucks for a cold beer while charging only 3.50 for a bottle of water. My family and I will attend the shows again, but for there safety, I will be bringing my own water next time.

It reads to me that not only should the state police take a refresher course, but also Susan Venus should be sitting in that class. SHAME on the county attorney office for allowing this to happen in the first place. I can understand that the police do not undertand all laws pertaining to there duties, but to call upon an office that has the resourses at it's disposal such as the county attorney office, and to get this type of information, I say SHAME ON YOU. The individual rights of the citizens of this country are being stripped at an alarming rate. Sue Venus should be suspended and made to attend refresher courses before being allowed back.

At least this person turned himself in when he learned of the states error. I don't know this person but if he had already did some time incarcerated in our system, then gets released because of this states mistakes then finds out he is still wanted, turns himself back in. I guess he can't be all that bad. Or did he pick up the local paper and see what a mess this country is in and decided that he's better off on the inside... Makes me think.

One word comes to mind, REVENUE. This is just another law that was created to get revenue for this state. They asked people to slow down as they went thru, and for the most part, it worked, now that the state is running low on funds BAM another law pops up. When was this one acted on in the legislature? You see the police sitting everywhere trying to catch people and when that doesn't work, another law pops up to try and get more monies.I can see it now, going 65-70 miles an hour come up to a toll booth and you slow down to 25 mph and the cars behind you DON'T. These cops can't be everywhere and most drivers know that. I guarantee that there will be more accidents now than before. How about this novel idea. Take away the toll booths and put a tax on gasoline to make up the difference. I'm sure it wouldn't raise the price that much after you take away what it takes to keep these dinosaurs operating i,e, salaries, maintenance etc.

Excuse me, but hasn't this cop killer been tried and convicted? Just another example of the "SYSTEM" trying to fund someones business plan. Let's try this. Let the lawyers for the defense do the work pro-bono and see if it still takes two years. I bet they get whatever they need in a week. Lawyers are another problem with todays society. Take a minute and follow the chain and you will see it. Lawyers make the rules and laws and then stuff like this happens. Juice the killer now and stop wasting my money!

Well yyyiiipppeeee to the the cities "Hotel mogel". Caressed  the city council and got what he wanted. UNBELIEVABLE.  Theres another parcel of land north of this project on the otherside of the street, that you can probaly get cheap to. Just one question, Can you rent a room in Concord now that this guy doesn't own? Talk about a monopoly.
