Bishop Brady 3, Hopkinton 2

Key players: Bishop Brady – Adrienne Brummett (G, A), Sheridan Brummett (2G, A), Emily Senko (11 saves); Hopkinton – Ellie Morrall (G), Emily Metzger (A), Loren Charron

Highlights: Hopkinton took a late 2-1 lead, but the Giants rallied in the final minutes to claim the win on their home field at NHTI. Abby Santis, Hannah Hicks, Molly Levesque and Maddy Ryndhart led Brady’s defensive efforts.

Coach’s quote: “The girls played extremely well and were able to come back from a deficit in the second half. We have to have short memories and prepare for the rest of the week. The girls are starting to jell even more and play well together. Hopkinton is a very good team and will make a deep run this season.” – Bishop Brady’s Andrew Mattarazzo

“Lucky I did not have to pay money to watch (Hopkinton’s) Lillie Presti and (Sheridan) Brummett battle 1-versus-1 today. So much fun to watch. Get to watch it happen again in two weeks on the 25th of this month. Should be a great showdown!” – Hopkinton’s Mike Zahn head coach

Records: Bishop Brady 4-1-0; Hopkinton 3-2-1
