Highlights: Kimball-Rhines matched Mascenic’s ace pitch-for-pitch for five scoreless innings and helped her own cause by tripling home Maurgan McGrath in the sixth. The Vikings scored a run to force extra innings, but the Hawk defense, led by Julia Baer, Maddy Follansbee, Clara Walling and McGrath came through, and Murdough reached base on a single and scored in the top the of eighth. Hopkinton will play No. 6 Belmont in the semifinals on Wednesday.
