■Both the Bow Rotary’s 2020 Car Show and Concert Series have been canceled due to the current attendance limitations.

■The Bow Garden Club invites area residents to visit to learn more about the club’s activities, goals and objectives. Prospective members can join now for a $5 fee and 2021 memberships will be accepted at the end of the year. DUNBARTONLibrary holds virtual clubs, art exhibit

■No-contact library book returns will continue until further notice. Please return your items Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There are still a large number of books out in the community that were due prior to March 16 (those materials were considered overdue as of July 31). Please look around, gather them up and return them to the library for others to use.

■Registered voters who have concerns about voting in person on Sept. 8 and Nov. 3 may vote by absentee ballot. For more information visit Your ballot will be mailed to you after they are delivered to the Town Clerk’s office. At this time no delivery date is known. Completed applications should be dropped off or mailed to Town Clerk, 1011 School Street, Dunbarton, NH 03046. Completed applications may also be faxed to 774-554.

HENNIKER / WEAREFree concert to be held at bandstand

■On Aug. 11, the Henniker concert is by 2120 South Michigan Avenue from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Angela Robinson Bandstand. It’s free, although donations are accepted. Masks, social distancing. No rain date.  Check  for safety guidelines.

■Farmers Markets are on Saturdays starting at 10 a.m. in downtown Weare and at 4 p.m. on Thursdays in Henniker's Community Park.


HILLSBOROUGH / DEERINGBe creative with castle contest

■There will be a build a castle contest. Try building a castle using toilet/paper towel tubes. Add your own special touches to make it your own! Be creative! We can provide: Tubes, oatmeal containers and cardboard (until we run out). Build all summer, and you can return your castle to the Fuller Public Library by Aug. 10 for judging on Aug. 14. ■Our Library Book Sale continues with all you can bag books for $3! New titles are added daily. We have bags on the porch, and envelopes you can put your money in and drop in the book drop. The money raised from our book sale goes to purchasing new books for the library.
