Letter: Granite Staters fired up for Harris

Hours after President Biden announced he was exiting the presidential race, I joined the twenty four other NH Democratic National Convention Delegates on a call where we unanimously pledged to endorse Vice President Harris. Each of us chose to unite behind Vice President Harris because we know she is the best candidate to prosecute the case against Trump and win in November. Since then, the energy for Vice President Harris has been electric, from homemade Harris for President lawn signs to the endless social media posts, voters are excited, and I know the excitement will only continue to grow. While the top of the ticket has changed, the stakes of the election haven’t.

At her first campaign stop, Vice President Harris underscored the choice before us this November: Trump’s vision, rooted in his Project 2025 agenda, would roll back Americans’ freedoms, hurt the middle class, and threaten our democracy. Harris’ positive vision would strengthen our democracy, protect reproductive freedom, and ensure every person has the opportunity to not just get by, but get ahead. Trump’s Project 2025 agenda has no place in the “Live Free or Die” state. With the issues at the heart of this election; defending reproductive freedom, protecting democracy, and ensuring every person can not just get by, but get ahead; Kamala Harris will move our country forward. It’s time to roll up our sleeves and fight to get Kamala Harris and Democrats elected up and down the ballot this November. I hope you’ll join me.
