Letter: Support Rebecca McWilliams for state senate

Please support Rebecca McWilliams for Senate District 15 representing Concord, Bow and Hopkinton. We are fortunate to have three good candidates running in the Democratic primary to continue our long tradition of strong representation. McWilliams gets my vote because of who she is, how she approaches problem-solving, and because she is unfettered by personal or party affiliations that may complicate her service as a state senator. Rebecca and her husband, James, own the old Lewis Farm. At a time when forever chemicals are poisoning our earth and trash importers want to build more waste dumps, wouldn’t it be great to have a farmer in the Senate?

At a time when New Hampshire faces a critical housing shortage and many are priced out of the housing market, wouldn’t it be great to have an architect in the Senate? Rebecca is a trained architect. Finally, at a time when extremists challenge reproductive rights, underfund education, and threaten our teachers, wouldn’t it be great to have a lawyer committed to defending our constitutional rights in the Senate? Rebecca is cross trained as a lawyer. As a three-term state rep, Rebecca has introduced and passed bills related to clean energy and worked closely with Senator Becky Whitley to pass the “Momnibus” childcare bill. On Sept. 10, I will be voting for Rebecca McWilliams. No matter your choice, it is important that you turn out and vote in September and again in November.
