Hillsboro-Deering DECA teams earn top spots

After two weeks of competing against other high schools in a global competition, two teams of students from Hillsboro-Deering High School have qualified for the DECA International Conference in April 2020.

In the Virtual Business Sports Management Competition, three students, seniors Nate McGillicuddy, Gunner Hagstrom, and Julian Howell finished in first place in the competitive North Atlantic region of DECA and also second place in the entire competition – out of over 500 teams worldwide.

In the Virtual Business Retail Management Competition, three students, juniors Cassidy Marshall, Chloe Braun, and Emma Curley finished in second place in the North Atlantic region of DECA, and seventh overall internationally out of over 500 teams.
