Jon Shamash and Thomas Dean controlled the paint and combined for 14 points and 10 rebounds as the Concord boys’ JV basketball team beat Dover, 60-44. Scott Lampron, Eric Sullivan and Rylan Canabano all scored in double figures for the Crimson Tide.
Fiona Beane finished with a team-high 10 points to lead the Hopkinton girls’ JV basketball team to a 34-28 win over Hillsboro-Deering. Annie Bramford played hard inside for Hopkinton. Lydia Powell (11 points), Madeline Parisi (five points) and Madison O’Brien (five points) played well for H-D.
Marissa Payne had 24 points and nine rebounds, but the Concord girls’ JV basketball team lost to Alvirne in overtime, 59-54. Ashlet Nault added 10 points for the Tide.
Gilford’s Catherine Stow finished first overall at a Nordic ski event, followed by Kearsarge’s Lili Baer and Marlia Richer. France Trafton of Hopkinton came in fourth followed by Vanessa Genakos of Gilford and Ada Gardner of Kearsarge. Rounding out the top ten were Lilia Klingler, Cate Westbrook, Sophie Sullivan and Isabella Holmes, who are all from Hopkinton.
Kearsarge’s Steven Williamson (third) and Eli Baer (fourth) had the best local finishes at a Nordic ski meet at Proctor Academy. Hopkinton’s Nolan Sauer (fifth), Theodore Mollano (seventh) and Hayden Lynch (10th), Gilford’s Henry Stow (eighth) and Kearsarge’s Evan Pauling (ninth) rounded out the top 10.
Camdyn Despres had two goals as the Concord U10 girls’ hockey team beat the Mass Spitfires, 4-2. Tess Mulkerron and Evey Heppler also scored for Concord. Heppler also scored two goals in a 6-0 win over Hanover. Concord’s Julz Kirrane, Elizabeth Johnson, Grace Orr and Ireland Fredrickson also scored against Hanover.
Sanel Auto Parts Concord Capitals Peewee 2 battled to a 2-2 tie against Kearsarge. Concord’s goals were scored by Zach McCoy and Henry Powell. Assists came from Finnegan Brown and Aiden Ramshaw. Concord also recorded a 5-3 win against Manchester that saw Ramshaw and McCoy both score twice and Powell score once. Nick Martel added an assist.
Jax Donahue had 18 points to lead the St. Paul’s girls’ varsity basketball team to a 56-37 win at Governor’s Academy.
The St. Paul’s boys’ varsity basketball team dropped to 10-11 on the year with a 71-38 loss at Governor’s Academy.
The St. Paul’s School girls’ varsity hockey team (17-4-1) shutout BB&N, 3-0.
Cole Sias finished eighth overall and St. Paul’s put six girls in the top 17 to finish second out of seven teams at the Lakes Region Nordic Championships. The boys’ Nordic team also finished second behind a fourth-place result from Cal Schrupp.
Webster’s Mayson Kimball had 12 points, four assists, four rebounds and three steals to lead the Tilton School girls’ varsity basketball team to a 73-23 win over Phillips Exeter Academy.
Gerard Marretta had three assists and a goal to lead the Tilton School boys’ hockey team to a 9-5 win over Brewster Academy.
The Tilton School girls’ JV basketball team improved to 12-0 with a 39-31 win against Phillips Exeter Academy.

UNH women’s lacrosse summer camp will be held June 26-28. The camp is open to girls entering grades 6-12 in the 2017-18 academic year. There are commuter and overnight options, both of which include meals provided at UNH dining facilities. The overnight also includes housing in UNH dormitories. UNH women’s soccer camps are now open for registration. The 2017 Junior Wildcat Girls Soccer Camp will be held from July 10-13. All female players in grades 1-5 (as of the 2017-18 academic year) are invited to register. Four morning sessions will be taught by UNH women’s soccer staff and players. Each day runs from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. This session costs $180. The 2017 UNH Girls Soccer Overnight Camp will be held from July 16-19. Cap City Basketball will be holding its AAU tryouts Saturday at Bishop Brady High School. Tryout times for both boys and girls are as follows: U8, U9, U10, 3-4 p.m.; U11, U12, 4-5 p.m.; U13, U14, 5-6 p.m.’ U15, U16, U17, 6-7 p.m. The AAU teams practice two times per week and will play in five to seven tournaments. Cost for tryouts is $20.
Central Force AAU girls’ basketball tryouts will be held on March 4 and March 5 at Belmont Middle School.
