The Winnipesaukee Community Theatre presents Dancing at Lughnasa, a play about five sisters living in 1936 Ireland. The show is the first of the 2018 season, Around the World in 18 Plays.
In the play, the now-adult narrator looks back on his youth living with his mother and aunts. The women engage in dancing, laughing, and loving in their cozy cottage.

This week at the Concord Community Music School, the Thursday Bach Lunch Lecture will tackle โThe Great American Songbook โ A Jazz Love Affair.โ
Matt Langley, music school faculty and jazz musician, will discuss what the Great American Songbook is, who composers of the repertoire are and instrumental versions of those songs.
Next week on Thursday, Peggo Horstmann Hodes and Kent Allyn will perform a Valentineโs Day-themed concert, โP.S. I Love You: Love Letters.โ
Both programs are free and take place from 12:10 to 12:50 at the schoolโs recital hall. Bring your own lunch. They will play songs by Johnny Mercer, the Beatles and other songs about love letters.
Majestic Theatre is hosting a dinner and performance of Are We There Yet! from Friday to Sunday.
On Friday and Saturday, the performance will begin at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
Are We There Yet! tells the story of a modern American family in the form of a musical. Every performance will be held at the Executive Court Banquet Facility in Manchester.

Five-time Grammy-winner Michael McDonald is performing at Tupelo Music Hall in Derry on Monday at 8 p.m. He has appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon to perform his latest single, โFind It In Your Heart.โ In 2000, McDonald released his first album of all original songs called Wide Open.
