I propose the following solution for the DACA /Dreamer immigration deadlock. Allow the undocumented children of parents who brought them into the United States to stay in the U.S. and gain a pathway to citizenship and also allow them to sponsor their family members in exchange for allowing the administration to build the wall that would be paid for directly by the government of Mexico as candidate Donald Trump promised.
However, it should not allow for any so called “border tax” or any other type of additional tariffs on imports from Mexico as this would effectively make U.S. consumers pay for the wall.
