The St. Paul’s School varsity girls’ hockey team ended its season with a 5-0 loss to Kent in the quarterfinals of the Division 1 NEPSAC tournament. The Big Red finished the season 21-3-4 and made the playoffs for a seventh consecutive year. Concord’s Brett Stoddard and Canaan’s Phoebe Day provided strong leadership as the team’s co-captains.
Plymouth State University junior Casey Allaire was voted the Little East Conference Diver of the Year by the league’s head coaches for a second straight year after putting together another remarkable season. Allaire, who is from Mattapoisett, Mass., won every event she entered from November through January, collecting five 1-meter and 3-meter titles along the way.
Four University of New Hampshire skiers have been selected to compete in the 2019 National Collegiate Men’s and Women’s Skiing Championships, which are being hosted by the University of Vermont and begin Wednesday. Emma Woodhouse and Lisa Olsson will represent the Wildcat women’s alpine team, while UNH men’s alpine skiers Will Bruneau-Bouchard and Patrick Kenney were also selected by the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Skiing Committee.
■The UNH women’s basketball team (6-22) lost to Albany, 78-53. Freshman Kari Brekke led UNH with 15 points. Albany improved to 12-16 with the win.

University of New Hampshire field hockey team will be holding a spring clinic/tournament and two summer camps. The April 7 clinic and tourney (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) is open to U14, U16 and U19 high school or club teams, as well as U16 and U19 individuals. Participants will receive instruction from the UNH field hockey coaches and student-athletes. All games will be played at UNH’s Memorial Field. The day includes a minimum of four and maximum of five 25-minute games, 7 vs. 7 play and a one hour pre-tournament clinic. Session 1 of the summer camp will be June 30-July 3 and Session 2 will be July 25-28. The summer camp sessions are open to junior high and high school students as of fall 2019. Players of all skill levels are welcome. Each session includes four days of field hockey instruction and a full evening program. The overnight option includes three meals daily and housing in a UNH residence hall. The day-only option includes two meals daily (lunch and dinner). Pass Set Crush volleyball camp is available for girls entering grades 7-9 in the fall of 2019. This is an overnight adventure camp with a concentration in volleyball. The camp is located at Geneva Point Center on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough. The two sessions are July 7-11 and July 14-18. Plymouth State University women’s volleyball coach Joan Forge directs the camp and the staff features several New Hampshire volleyball coaches and outstanding high school and college players from around the country. In addition to two daily sessions of volleyball, Pass Set Crush offers swimming, boating, yoga, water carnival, campfires, beach BBQ and more. Campers are housed in cabins with supervision, three nutritious meals are served daily, a nurse is on staff 24 hours a day, and the three beaches are staffed with lifeguards. Panther Volleyball Day Camp, hosted by Plymouth State University women’s volleyball coach Joan Forge, will be held on July 22-25. This camp will feature two sessions. Panther Camp One is 9 a.m.-noon for girls entering grades 5-8 and is designed for beginner to intermediate players. Players will have fun while learning the basic fundamental skills, rules and strategies to be successful playing the sport of volleyball. Panther Camp Two is 1-5 p.m. for girls entering grades 9-12 and is designed for beginner, intermediate and advance players who want to play and excel at the high school level. Franklin High School Winter Sports Banquet is scheduled for March 7 starting at 6 p.m. in the FHS cafeteria. Public ice skating at the Douglas N. Everett Arena in Concord will continue for the season through March 12. Skating hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays and 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Sundays. Admission is $5 (kids under age three are free) and skate rentals are available if needed for an additional $5. Cash or check accepted. Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb registration is open. Cyclists who wish to compete in this historic bike race to the summit of the highest peak in the northeastern United States can sign up at mwarbh.org. This event is the only opportunity to cycle the Auto Road which is otherwise closed to bicycles. Registration starts at $150 plus fundraising. Entrants may also participate in the Practice Ride, held on July 14. The Practice Ride is limited to 300 participants. the Hillclimb begins at the base of the 7.6-mile Mt.
