Each week at Newfound Memorial Middle School, a staff and student member are nominated by the school community for Bear of the Week. Nominations are made based upon demonstrations of respect, responsibility, integrity, and pride.
Congratulations to Mrs. Ritchie, this week’s Bear of the Week staff member! Mrs. Ritchie was nominated by students for always making her students laugh, learn and have fun in class! Thank you, Mrs. Ritchie!
Sixth Grader, Damien Sherkanowski was nominated for Bear of the Week for continually showing kindness, responsibility, respect and understanding to a student who was recently having a difficult time in class. Damien was also willing to work with the student even though he could have worked on his own. Damien has also been heard telling other students the importance of getting their assignments done to gain a better understanding of what they are learning.
