Christmas music and festive celebration are on the bill at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse when Teghan Marie Kelly presents A Lakes Region Christmas with Teghan Marie Kelly and Friends this weekend. Performances are Dec. 3 and 4 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction.

Kelly was born and raised in Meredith, spending her youth performing at theatres all over the region before setting her sights on the big city and a career that saw her touring all over the world. When the pandemic hit, Teghan, like many NYC actors, returned home to wait out what was thought to be a short break. After a year and a half of calling the Lakes Region home again, Teghan wanted to give back to the area that fostered her career and to support a nonprofit that her dad, radio host Pat Kelly, was involved with for many years.

She invited several actor friends that she met while performing at the Playhouse in shows like Mamma Mia! and Beauty at the Beast to join her onstage for this lively holiday concert which will include songs like “We Need a Little Christmas,” “All I Want for Christmas,” and “Little Drummer Boy.”

Tickets can be purchased online at winnipesaukeeplayhouse.org or by calling (603) 279-0333. Please visit the website for the Playhouse’s COVID-19 protocols.

Also at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse: Auditions for young actors ages 13-18 for the Greek drama Oedipus Rex will be Dec. 6 and 7 at 33 Footlight Circle, Meredith. Audition appointments are required. Shows will be Feb. 17 to 20. Registration for appointments and detailed information about the production — including a complete rehearsal schedule and COVID-19 policies — are available at winnipesaukeeplayhouse.org/education or by calling 603-279-0333.
