NHTI results

THE NHTI men’s cross country team finished third at USCAA National Championships. Michael Mott of Alton earned All-American status by finishing fourth in 28:36 on the 8K course. Loudon’s Ethan Dodenhoff was a Second Team All-American (10th, 29:54). Other NHTI were Goffstown’s Nicholas Dalton (23th, 31:26), Manchester’s Jamie Barrett (29th, 31:52) and Concord’s Rovanee Nickson (37th, 32:57). Henniker’s Chloe Asthotz earned a Second Team All-American spot by by finishing 13th in the women’s race, clocking at 28:30.


Bow Athletic Club 5K Turkey Trot will be held Thursday at 8 a.m. at Bow High School. Preceding the race at 7:45 a.m., there will be an age 7 and under Falcon Way Frolic (one lap around the outside of the school). The 5K starts at Bow High School, goes to Hanson Park, and back. There will be medals for first-, second- and third-place finishers in all categories. First place in each category also gets a pie. Cost is $25 (plus a sign up fee) or $20 after Nov. 24. Everett Arena public ice skating hours will be Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday hours are from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday hours will also be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission will be $6 for skaters and free for children ages 3 and under. Skate rentals are available. Skating lessons will continue through March. For more information, visit concordnh.gov/skating.


Hillsboro-Deering High School winter sports sign-ups will available online through Nov. 29 at hdsd.org/Page/1465. All parents/guardians need to fill out all of the forms and information requested. The following sports (with start dates) are: Alpine skiing (Monday); and boys’ basketball, girls’ basketball and ice hockey (Nov. 29).

Coaches needed

John Stark Regional High School has the following coaching openings for the 2021-22 school year: JV boys’ hockey, JV boys’ lacrosse, JV girls’ lacrosse and boys’ varsity volleyball. Officials needed

Apprentices are needed for the New Hampshire Wrestling Officials Association for the 2021-22 season. A minimum of two years participating in the sport of wrestling as an official, coach or wrestler is required.
