In the Concord Babe Ruth semifinals, Concord Police Patrolmen’s Association defeated Banks, 9-4. For Banks, Tommy Weaver pitched well and had a double. Wyatt Rockwell also had a double and Cam Burbank scored two runs. For CPPA, Deagan Hines pitched five innings, giving up one run and striking out seven. Hines, Lucas Golden and Patrick Owen each had two hits. Jonathan Degges had a hit and an RBI.
■Concord Police Patrolmen’s Association won the Babe Ruth championship with a 9-7 victory over Kiwanis. For Kiwanis, Tyler Mayo had four hits and Cooper Hand was strong in relief. For CPPA, Patrick Owen and Lucas Golden were excellent on the mound. Deagan Hines went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two walks and two runs scored. Golden, Jamey Skafidas, Matt Moreau and Bernie Masur also had hits for CPPA. Dylan Hassapes made a great catch in the bottom of the seventh inning to preserve the win.
■In Concord Little League AAA Action, Associated Grocers and Granite State Glass had a two-game series. In the first game, AG beat GSG, 10-2. Jack Wade was the winning pitcher, and added a double and single to help his cause. Casey Hazzard ripped a huge triple. MikeyBozek had three singles and played great at second base. For GSG, Breton Pouliot hit well, Henry Goldwasser had a great game and Cam Sanford pitched well. In the second game, AG won, 15-1. For AG, Dillon Tucker had a triple. Nolan Wade tripled and was superb at catcher. For GSG, Jackson Fithian was 2-for-2. Ian Norton pitched well.
■The following players were named to the Concord Babe Ruth 13-15 year old All-Star team: Henry Elliott, Logan Rackliff, Isaac Vaillancourt, Thomas Weaver, Lucas Golden, Dylan Hassapes, Tyler Mayo, David Ostrowski, Patrick Owen, Wyatt Rockwell, Colin Savard, James Skafides, Cam Burbank and Brody Rossetti. The team will be coached by Steve Ostrowski, Tom Parizo, Erik Rossetti and Matt Elliott. All-star games begin on July 7.
Henniker’s Michael Martin finished second overall and Epsom’s Bruce Sorette finished ninth at the Valley Seniors Golf Tournament event at Newport Golf Club. Henniker’s Michael Martin and Jack Martin finished second in their respective age groups, while Sorette and Henniker’s Dave Tullis finished third in their divisions.

NH Hoop Skills Girls Basketball Day Camps, led by coach Karen Pinkos, will be held at Southern New Hampshire University on June 27-30 and July 25-28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for girls in grades 2-9. Crimson Tide Basketball Camps, hosted by Concord High boys’ varsity coach Tim LaTorra, will be held this summer for boys and girls going into grades 3-9 of next school year. The camps will be held at Concord High from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Girls’ camp week will be July 17-21 and the boys’ week will be July 24-28. Spartan Basketball Camp will run July 31-Aug. 4 for any players in grades 4-12. The camp will be held at Pembroke Academy and will be led by Pembroke Academy boys’ basketball coaches Mike Donnell, Jim Cilley and Julia Valotto. There are only 20 spots open for each group. Boys and girls in grades 4-6 will meet from 8:30-10 a.m., boys in grades 7-8 will meet from 10:30 a.m. to noon, girls in grades 7-8 will meet from 12:30-2 p.m., boys in grades 9-12 will meet from 2:30-4 p.m. and girls in grades 9-12 will meet from 4:30-6 p.m. The camp will include both offensive and defensive drills, and scrimmages. Hillsboro-Deering High School fall sports sign ups are now open on the HDSD website. Visit hdsd.org and click on ‘Athletics’ and then ‘2023 Fall Sports Sign-up and Physical Form.’ All information needs to be filled out before registration can be submitted. Physical forms must be filled out and all physicals must be current for the fall season. Impact testing will be done in mid-August for those that need them.
