Donate to kids

The Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child is collecting shoebox donations filled with school supplies, hygiene items and toys for children living in poverty overseas. You can drop off donations from Nov. 13 to 20 at Countryside Community Church in Contoocook and Grace Capital Church in Pembroke. For more information, samaritanspurse.org/occ.

NewportGive food, get tote

Until Nov. 17, Lake Sunapee Bank will be collecting nonperishable food, grocery store gift cards and monetary donations for local food pantries. Those who donate will receive a “Food for Good” grocery tote. Food will go to local food pantries in the community. Updates on donations and more information about the pantries can be found on Lake Sunapee Bank’s Facebook page.

HopkintonFarmers market moves inside

The Contoocook Farmers Market has moved indoors at town hall for the colder months. It also has different hours – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, visit facebook.com/ContoocookFarmersMarket.
