New London Scholarship winners perform

Come experience the amazing talent of the CFA student scholarship award recipients, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m. at Whipple Hall (on the corner of Main Street and Seamans Road) in New London.

New London Winter Performing Arts Series

Celebrate Valentine’s Day on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m. with Nancy Tripp and her trio as they present “Crooners, Cabaret and Chocolate.” Whipple Hall in New London, will be transformed into a cabaret with round tables, chairs, soft lights, great music and a dance floor. Enjoy an a cappella concert with The New Hampshire Troubadours on Sunday, March 10, at 2 p.m. at Whipple Hall. The final performance in the series happens on April 27 at 7 p.m. and features the old-time music of the Bradford Bog People. This performance will take place in Warner, at the Warner Town Hall. Tickets for all the performances can be purchased at Morgan Hill Bookstore and Tatewell Gallery in New London, or online at CenterForTheArtsNH.org.

Laconia Social issues program held

The 26 member Leadership Lakes Region class held its annual Social Issues Day focusing on agencies that support social services in the Lakes Region. The day was sponsored by Make-a-Wish New Hampshire and planned by Program Coordinator Jennifer McLean and Leadership graduates Chelsea Lemke of the Lakes Region Mental Health Center and Joleen Wellford of Lakes Region Community Services.
