ConcordSpeech contest

The public is invited to attend the annual Rotary Club of Concord’s “Four-Way Test” high school speech contest on March 27 at Genesis Senior Living (Pleasant View Retirement), 227 Pleasant St., Concord, N.H., with speeches starting at 6 p.m. Free to the public, attendees are able to come and go as they please during the presentations. The contest will feature speeches from more than 20 high school students who are offered the opportunity to give a 5 to 7 minute speech on how the Rotary’s Four-Way Test may help guide their decision making in times of crisis, adversity, and challenge. They are asked to draw from their own experiences or observations bringing the tenet of the Test to real life situations. The top three students will move on to districts, and will also take home a cash prize. First place will earn $500, followed by $300 for second, and $200 for third.
