BowImmigration Forum

The Kent Street Coalition, with the American Friends Service Committee, along with Loudon Democrats and Independents, Canterbury Citizens for Democracy, and Wilton Peace Action are offering the third of a series of forums on immigration in America. The Thursday forum will feature a panel discussion on the history of U.S. foreign, military and economic policy toward Central America and Mexico; the history of U.S. immigration policy and the influence of racism and nativism; the impact of U.S. policies on immigrant communities in New Hampshire; and the elements of a more humane immigration policy. Our panelists are UNH professor Lucy Salyer; Gabe Camacho, an immigrant rights organizer in Greater Boston; Eva Castillo of the N.H. Alliance for Immigrants and Refugees; and Maggie Fogarty of the AFSC N.H. program. The forum will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bow Baker Library, 509 South St., Bow.
