National Night Out, tonight at Rollins Park, will include live music, food, dodge ball and a visit from Gov. John Lynch.

The event, from 5 until 9 p.m., is free to the public. Free shuttles will take guests from Pillsbury Street to Rollins Park.

National Night Out promotes strong relationships between community members and law enforcement, said Joe Wright, an officer with the Concord police department's community resource unit. Wright is serving as coordinator for the event, which is being held at Rollins Park for the fourth time.

Lynch and other local officials will speak from the event's main stage at 6:45 p.m.

Visitors can watch the second annual Badge Ball Tournament beginning at 5 p.m. on the basketball courts. The tournament is a series of dodge ball matches between the Concord fire department, the Concord police department, the New Hampshire state police and other local organizations.

Hot dogs, pizza and other food will be available for $1 per item.

A number of police and safety displays will also be available throughout the event, including demonstrations from K-9 and explosives police units. The night will end with an emergency light and siren display at 8:50 p.m. throughout the park.
