OUR ENVIRONMENT NEEDS MORE LOCAL REPORTING
The Concord Monitor is launching its Environmental Reporting Lab, a long-term effort to better inform the community about the New Hampshire environment. To launch phase 1 of this effort, we need your help. The money raised will go toward hiring a full-time environmental reporter.

State Sen. Andy Sanborn, who lives in Henniker and owns The Draft sports bar in Concord, was named state co-chairman for Rep. Ron Paul's presidential campaign yesterday.
In his endorsement, Sanborn specifically cited the Texan's $1 trillion budget cut proposal. The plan would eliminate the Housing and Urban Development; Energy, Commerce, Interior and Education departments; the Transportation Safety Administration; and end aid to foreign countries and subsidies for corporations.
It "shows a clear path toward prosperity, jobs, and a return to those traditional New Hampshire frugal values we all believe in," Sanborn said.
