LePage’s lobster went from Maine to N.H. State House to Concord’s Friendly Kitchen

The governor of Maine’s lobster ended up at a Concord soup kitchen this week.

Gov. Paul LePage on Monday mailed boxes of lobster meat, bisque and spread to the 49 other state governors in a bid to promote Maine’s lobster industry, according to the Portland Press Herald.

So what did New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan do with her lobster?

According to spokesman Marc Goldberg, it was donated yesterday to the Friendly Kitchen, Concord’s only soup kitchen.

“Is that where it came from?” said Manager Jennifer Lombardo, who said she noticed the package in the Friendly Kitchen’s fridge today.

She said she wasn’t sure how the soup kitchen would use the lobster, but “we definitely will serve it to some of our guests.”
