U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte is getting an award tomorrow night.

The New England Council has named the New Hampshire Republican one of four winners of its 2013 “New Englander of the Year” award.

The council described Ayotte as “a New Hampshire native who has devoted her life to public service — previously as a long-time prosecutor and New Hampshire attorney general, and now in the United States Senate” who “has quickly emerged as an influential voice in the Senate.”

The other three winners: Kenneth Feinberg, administrator of The One Fund Boston; Robert Reynolds, president and chief executive officer of Putnam Investments; and George Wein, chairman of the Newport Festivals Foundation Inc.

Outgoing Boston Mayor Thomas Menino is getting a Lifetime Achievement Award at the council’s annual dinner, scheduled tomorrow in Boston.
