OUR ENVIRONMENT NEEDS MORE LOCAL REPORTING

The Concord Monitor is launching its Environmental Reporting Lab, a long-term effort to better inform the community about the New Hampshire environment. To launch phase 1 of this effort, we need your help. The money raised will go toward hiring a full-time environmental reporter.

The Insiders: Mike Morin has a story to tell, so you should go listen

Last modified: 9/25/2014 1:02:00 AM
We never condone death threats or burying someone alive, but in reality sometimes those kinds of things make for a good story. Especially when they happen to the same person.

And if you think those make for a good conversation starter, you should hear all of the other zany events that have shaped the 40-plus year career of legendary New Hampshire radio host Mike Morin. Morin’s been fired quite a few times, dropped his fair share of naughty words on the air and even received naked pictures of elderly women.

But don’t just take our word for it. You can hear all about Morin’s escapades at Gibson’s Bookstore tonight at 7 when he discusses his memoir, Fifty Shades of Radio: True Stories of a Morning Guy Being Wired, Tired and Fired!

∎ ∎ ∎

But before you take in Morin’s stories, why not create your own by participating in the Run United 5K to benefit the Granite United Way? The race begins at 6 p.m. with a kids fun run at 5:45. Cost is $25, and there’s a great post-race party with food, beverages and entertainment.
