A pair of future University of New Hampshire men’s hockey players were chosen in Saturday’s NHL Draft by the San Jose Sharks.

Incoming freshman Marcus Vela was selected in the seventh round as the 190th overall pick. This past season with the Langley Rivermen of the British Columbia Hockey League, Vela scored 20 goals with 26 assists in 50 games.

Goaltender Mike Robinson from Bedford was selected in the third round with the 86th overall pick. Robinson, a UNH commit, played his junior season for Lawrence Academy, posting a .902 save percentage and a 3.20 goals-against average. The NHL Central Scouting Service ranked him as the No. 8 North American goalie eligible for the draft.
