With Tom Brady possibly suspended for the first four games on the 2015 season, the New England Patriots added to their quarterback depth yesterday, signing eight-year veteran Matt Flynn, according to ESPN.

Flynn has started seven games in a career that includes stops in Green Bay (2008-11; ’13-14), Seattle (2012), Oakland (2013) and Buffalo (2013).

The Patriots also confirmed yesterday that they released tight end Tim Wright, who was obtained for guard Logan Mankins before last season. Wright caught 26 passes for 259 yards and six touchdowns in the regular season but had no catches in the postseason.
