A new photography exhibit opened at the Red River Theatres’ gallery on Jan. 1, and the public is invited to meet the featured artist at a free reception Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Photographer Jay Fitzpatrick of East Andover will exhibit several images from his recent travels to the Palouse area of Washington State, and Whitman County, Wash., where more wheat is produced than in any other county in America.

His display, “Here, There and This,” will also feature a variety of other photographs captured both near and far, in color, black and white and infrared.

Fitzpatrick is a member of camera clubs in Concord, New London and the Lakes Region, and is a member of the New Hampshire Society of Photographic Artists and the Lakes Region Art Association. He also teaches photography courses and workshops in Tilton and Andover.

The public is welcome to view the work any time the theatres are open in January. Red River Theatres are located at 11 S. Main St., Concord. For more information, contact Fitzpatrick at
