N.H. Hospital to host bake sale for family of stabbing victim Sabrina Galusha

New Hampshire Hospital staff are hosting a memorial bake sale Friday for the family of Sabrina Marie Galusha.

The bake sale will be held from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Chet Batchelder conference room at the hospital, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Galusha family.

Galusha, who worked in the hospital’s food services department, was fatally stabbed in her hometown of Concord on the evening of May 30 outside Penacook Place Apartments, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.

Her accused killer, Daswan Jette, 20, of Concord, faces alternative counts of second-degree murder and is being held without bail. Investigators said in court Wednesday that Galusha and three friends met up with Jette outside the apartment complex to sell him a half-ounce of marijuana, which he stole, prompting the altercation that led to Galusha’s death.

Galusha’s father, Mark, dedicated years of service to New Hampshire Hospital prior to his retirement, according to the State Employee’s Association of New Hampshire.

“All of us here at New Hampshire Hospital are remembering a sweet, free-spirited woman who had a smile for everyone she met,” said Laurie Aucoin, chapter four president, in a union bulletin. “Sabrina Galusha will be missed by many.”
