Letter: Bouchard is a dedicated public servant

I worked for the city’s Parks and Recreation Department for years, which has given me a deep understanding of what makes an excellent public servant. That’s why I’m voting on Sept. 8 for Candace Bouchard for the New Hampshire Senate District 15 seat. Candace has served the Concord area for almost 30 years.

A highly respected volunteer, Candace has served in the N.H. Legislature, on the Concord City Council, and on dozens of committees. As a state legislator she served as chair of the House Public Works and Highways Committee, the Transportation Committee, and Women’s Health and Reproduction Rights Caucus.

Candace became a member of the Concord Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee in the early 1990s. Today, she serves as the city council representative to the committee. During her many years of service on this committee, she has volunteered for annual family special events and worked tirelessly to see the Concord Citywide Community Center become a reality.

She has advocated for park improvements and the updating and maintenance of our public spaces. The New Hampshire Recreation and Park Association awarded Candace the prestigious Distinguished Volunteer Award in 2009 for her service.

Candace speaks with a quiet, sincere, and knowledgeable voice. She does her homework, votes in the best interest of her constituents, and is highly respected by her peers. She has always supported women’s rights, diversity, economic equality for all, and concern for people of all ages.

Please join me on primary day, Sept. 8, and vote for Candace Bouchard.
