A 61-year-old man was taken to the hospital with injuries suffered in a head-on crash on Route 4 and Dover Road in Chichester on Thursday.

Police said a black Chevy Blazer heading westbound crossed the double-yellow lines and collided with a gray Chevy Malibu going in the opposite direction.

The Malibu was driven by a 19-year-old who did not suffer any injuries, police said.

Police did not identify the individuals involved and messages seeking more information were not returned.

The crash occurred near Atlantic Traders, the same area where a hit-and-run crash happened a day earlier.

Police were asking for the public’s help identifying the man who they believe was driving a silver Dodge truck that collided with a car around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The truck was described to have heavy rear-end damage and a snow blower in the bed. Police say the driver had attempted to pawn a snow blower at Atlantic Traders. After the collision, police say the truck continued down Dover Road toward Epsom.

Anyone with information on the hit-and-run is asked to call Chichester police at 798-4911.
