Concord senior Isaac Habimana came from behind in two matches and went on to claim the 152-pound title, one of three individual titles by the Crimson Tide, to lead Concord to a victory at the Salem Blue Devil Classic on Saturday.

Habimana defeated Central Catholic’s (Lawrence, Mass.) Connor Murphy, 11-9, in the championship match.

Sophomore Sam Wagner beat Windham’s Payton Sills by technical fall, 23-7, to win the 113-pound title and junior Tyler Simpson won the 170 title by pin over Central Catholic’s Jose Binet for Concord’s other victories.

Tide also had four runner-up finishes and three third-place finishes, giving Concord an overall score of 183 to win the nine-team meet.

Central Catholic (154.5), Windham (121), Salem (120) and Pinkerton (112) rounded out the top-five teams.

“The kids wrestled really hard. All 20 kids wrestled as hard as they could,” Concord head coach Ham Munnell said. “They competed at a high level, but we still have a long way to go.”

The victory was Concord’s first tournament win of the season. The Tide opened its season with a 53-22 win over Alvirne in a dual meet on Thursday.

Nick Bunch lost a 14-9 decision at 138, Isaac Gladey lost the 160 final by pin, Alex Buteau lost a 6-4 decision in the 220 final and Will Woods was pinned at 285 for the Crimson Tide’s runner-up finishes.

Ethan Comeau (126), Liddin Long (145) and Ian Schaefer (195) took third in their respective divisions.
