What was the biggest challenge you or your team faced this season and how did you overcome it? Our biggest challenge was to stop leaving runners stranded on bases like we did last year. We moved our batting order around a few times and some of our players really stepped up this year and produced some key hits.

Who was the unsung hero of your team? Sawyer Jones was the unsung hero of our team. He has a pitch that can be really hard to connect with and that helped us out this season.

If you could improve high school baseball in New Hampshire, what would you do? I would have the games start a few weeks later in the season. Because of the snow, we didn’t even had one practice on the field before we played our first game. I would have the season go longer, too.

Do you have any sports superstitions? I don’t really have any superstitions, but I do have a routine that I stick to when I get in the batter’s box.

What are some of the unwritten rules of your sport? If you don’t agree with the umpires call, keep it to yourself. It never helps if you argue a call.

Who on your team, coaches included, reminds you of a character in a TV show or movie? Our team has been like the Bad News Bears.

If life were a video game, what would some of the cheat codes be? I guess this might be weird but I don’t play video games and didn’t know what a cheat code was.

What is something that is really popular now, but in five years everyone will look back on and be embarrassed by? Probably the number of selfies and pictures we all post with weird captions.

Where do you get your news? I get most of my news from the internet but sometimes I watch CNBC with my father.

What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made? My best purchase was my car because it gives me freedom. It probably will be my worst purchase too, because it is expensive to maintain and gas prices keep going up.

If you could go to school in a foreign country, which country would you pick and why? Canada for the bacon.

If animals could talk, which would be the rudest? I think an ostrich would be the rudest because they don’t have vocal chords so if they could talk I bet they have a lot that they have been wanting to say. Plus they are mean.

What questions would you like to ask a time traveler from 200 years in the future? I would ask them what happened over the last 200 years.

If you were hired to show tourists what life is really like where you live, what would you show them / have them do? I would take them on a tour of the stone arch bridges and then on a walk through the Audubon trails in Deering.

What is the craziest thing one of your teachers has done? None of my teachers have really done anything that I thought was crazy.

What’s the best thing about being a teen? What’s the worst? The best thing about being a teen is that you have a lot more freedom that you did when you were younger, but not all the responsibilities an adult has. The worst thing about being a teen is living in a small town that doesn’t have much to do on the weekends.
