What was the biggest challenge you or your team faced this season and how did you overcome it?

We had an amazing Nordic season and we just tried to work together during practice and races. Me and my sister, Marliese, would always try and push each other to do our best.

Who was the unsung hero of your team?

All of the people who tried Nordic for the first time this year and all the parents who made the food for the races.

If you could improve high school Nordic skiing in New Hampshire, what would you do?

I would include a Nordic ski-cross in some races.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they?

I always wear my lucky pair of socks and also race in French braids on race days.

What are some of the unwritten rules of your sport?

To move out of the way if someone is going to pass you.

Who on your team, coaches included, reminds you of a character in a TV show or movie?

Hunter Burns reminds me of Ron Weasley because they are both funny. Hunter’s definitely got the hair, too.

What is something that is really popular now, but in five years everyone will look back on and be embarrassed by?

Some pop music.

Where do you get your news?

The internet, newspapers and magazines.

What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made?

The best is probably a nice pair of skis this season and the worst is all the things I thought I would use but only used them once.

What’s the most ridiculous fact you know?

The electric chair was invented by a dentist.

What’s invisible but you wish people could see?

The sounds of different instruments.

If you could go to school in a foreign country, which country would you pick and why?

Norway, because many of the world class Nordic skiers ski for Norway.

If animals could talk, which would be the rudest?

Seagulls, because they always want food.

What questions would you like to ask a time traveler from 200 years in the future?

Have people invented a better brake for roller skis yet?

If you were hired to show tourists what life is really like where you live, what would you show them / have them do?

I would have them do a lot of activities outside such as hiking and swimming in the summer and skiing in the winter.

What is the craziest thing one of your teachers has done?

One of the craziest thing one of our teachers has made us do is push oranges with our noses while racing other teams.
