What was biggest challenge you or your team faced this season and how did you overcome it?

The biggest problem my team had this season was simply slowing the game down. Our team is a team that likes to run. If we had a chance to get out and run the fast break, we would. When teams stopped that, we continued to try and run. As the season progressed, we worked on slowing things down and running our plays. By the end of the season, we became much better at knowing when to push the tempo and when to slow things down.

Who was the unsung hero of your team?

The unsung hero of our team this season was without a doubt our senior captain Christian Gaspa. He was extremely vocal the entire season. He made sure we were always on task and getting better each day. A lot of the stuff CG did for our team this season doesn’t show up on the stat sheet. We will definitely miss him next year.

If you could improve high school basketball in New Hampshire, what would you do?

I would add a shot clock to increase the tempo of games.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they?

I actual don’t have any sports superstitions.

What are some of the unwritten rules of your sport?

Always pick your teammates up. A lot of teams are quick to get on each other. There are good times and bad times to get on a team mate. I always try to give my teammates high fives and stuff like that.

Who on your team, coaches included, reminds you of a character in a TV show or movie?

Caleb Petel reminds me of Micheal Jordan from Space Jam.

If life were a video game, what would some of the cheat codes be?

Time travel or time freeze.

What is something that is really popular now, but in five years everyone will look back on and be embarrassed by?

Where do you get your news?

Social Media

What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made?

One of my best purchases I’ve ever made is probably my basketball hoop. I bought it when I was 10 and it’s still up and working fine. I can’t think of any terrible purchases I’ve made.

What’s invisible but you wish people could see?

If you could go to school in a foreign country, which country would you pick and why?

I would pick Spain because I’ve always wanted to go there and the weather is awesome.

If animals could talk, which would be the rudest?

What questions would you like to ask a time traveler from 200 years in the future?

All the past presidents, active sports players and sports dynasties, and past wars.

If you were hired to show tourists what life is really like where you live, what would you show them / have them do?

I would show them the lakes, Weirs Beach, my high school, and things to do like bowling and go carts.

What is the craziest thing one of your teachers has done?

My teachers don’t do many crazy things.

What’s the best thing about being a teen? What’s the worst?

The best thing about being a teen is getting to play sports. The worst is going to school.
