The Concord Monitor has added to its stable of publications by acquiring Around Concord, a glossy lifestyle magazine published quarterly.

The magazine will continue to focus on the people and culture of Concord and its surrounding communities with issues in 2018 planned for April, June, September and November.

“We’re excited to add Around Concord to what we do,” said Monitor publisher Heather McKernan. “It fits well with our mission to share the stories of people and events in and around Concord.”

Around Concord magazine was started in 2007 by Brit Johnson of Bow and then purchased in 2016 by Kevin Boyarsky, owner of New Hampshire Print and Mail.

“I took it over in 2016 because I wanted it to continue in our community,” said Boyarsky. “I’m glad that it’s in good hands from an editorial perspective and an advertising sales perspective.”

Around Concord reaches about 6,000 homes by direct mail in 11 central New Hampshire cities and towns, stretching from Laconia to Manchester. Readers will also be able to purchase the magazine by subscription or at select newsstands.

The Monitor also publishes the Concord Insider and LiveWell New Hampshire.
