Concord has called a downtown parking ban for Monday night into Tuesday morning.

The ban means no on-street parking is allowed in the downtown area between midnight and 7 a.m. Tuesday. The ban extends from the intersection of N. Main Street and Court Street to the intersection of S. Main Street and Perley Street to the south. The ban covers Storrs Street and the downtown portions of N. and S. State streets and Green Street.

Violators are subject to receiving a ticket and being towed by Concord Police’s Parking Division.

Free parking is available in the City garages from 7 p.m. until 8 a.m. every day for permit/lease spaces and until 9 a.m. for metered spaces.

The ban follows two back-to-back city-wide bans this weekend after the Concord region saw more sleet than snow from winter storm Harper.

Concord had seen just shy of five inches of snow by late Sunday afternoon, much of which turned into sleet.
