The city of Concord has issued a winter storm event parking ban for Monday night.

There will be no on-street parking on any street city-wide overnight Monday between midnight and 7 a.m. Tuesday.

This marks the second night in a row there has been a parking ban in Concord, as the city receives its first major snowfall of the season. Schools in Concord were closed Monday, and a school board meeting that was scheduled for Monday night was rescheduled for Dec. 9. The Concord School District has not yet indicated whether schools will be closed on Tuesday as well.

The city needs cars to be off the street so that plows can clear snow off the road. Violators are subject to receiving a ticket and being towed by Concord Police’s Parking Division.

Free parking is available in the city garages from 7 p.m. Monday night until 8 a.m. Tuesday morning for permit or lease spaces (marked with signage) and until 9 a.m. for metered spaces.

City garages include the School Street Garage, State Street Garage, and Storrs Street Garage.
