The City of Concord has issued a winter storm event parking ban for the entire city of Concord for Friday night.

The ban means no on street parking is allowed on any city street between midnight and 7 a.m. Saturday.

Parking is available free of charge in the city garages after 5 p.m. Friday night through Christmas day.

The city towed five cars who violated a winter parking ban on December 13, according to the parking enforcement department. That ban called for no parking in the downtown area for snow removal operations, whereas tonight’s ban encompasses the entire city.

Violating either a ban results in a $100 ticket, plus the fee from the tow company.
