Concord police arrested a man who they say was peeping in windows on West Street for his own sexual gratification.

Joseph Lecouffe, 56, was charged with stalking and violation of privacy, police announced Monday.

Late last month, police received a report of a man peeking into windows on West Street in the city’s South end.

“During the investigation, it was learned that the same male was seen peeping into the same residence on multiple occasions,” police said.

Police were able to identify Lecouffe from video evidence, they said.

Lecouffe was arrested Friday and arraigned in the Concord District Court on Monday. He was held at the Merrimack County House of Corrections in Boscawen on preventative detention.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Concord Police at 603-225-8600.
