Concord police investigate report of gunshots in Penacook

Concord police responded to the village of Penacook on Saturday night for a report of gunshots fired near Canal Street.

Responding officers discovered that no one had been shot or injured, police said.

“The involved parties are believed to have been identified and it is not believed there is a risk to the public,” police said in a statement.

It was unclear whether any arrests had been made.

Police were investigating the incident past midnight, with several cruisers still in the area, according to a witness.
