In desperate need of a spark after blowing a two-goal lead in the third period on Wednesday against Trinity, the Concord boys’ hockey team turned to Derek Kelleher.

Tied at 3-all in the final minutes of overtime, Kelleher knocked home the game-winning goal off a rebound, lifting the Tide to a 4-3 win over the Pioneers and earning the Monitor Player of the Week Award.

The victory helped Concord improve to 5-1 on the season and move into the upper tier of Division I. The Tide has won two straight and will take on Nashua South-Pelham on Saturday.
